Day 194 - Is she teething?

WE think Millie may be teething.

She's rather grumpy, dribbles much more, keeps putting things in her mouth and often bursts into tears for no apparent reason.

At bedtime this evening she was just plain angry and upset.

So mummy gave her some medicine (which Millie hated) and lots of cuddles.

Eventually Millie calmed down and fell asleep.

There's no sign of any teeth yet, but they could well be on the way.

Day 180 - Yum yum, baby rice...

AFTER much forethought, mummy finally took the plunge and started weaning Millie today.

It was difficult to know whether it was the right time because all the available advice seems contradictory.

It was made even more difficult because Millie is six months old but was born early so her adjusted age is four months or so.

But Millie seemed ready, so we decided to take a "mummy knows best" approach and gave Millie some baby rice.

As was to be expected, most of it appeared to trickle down her chin but she did manage a couple of mouthfuls - and seemed to enjoy it.
