Day 125 - Come on England!

A special t-shirt arrived in the post today.

It is bright red, with the number 06 on the front and back and Millie's name emblazoned in big white letters across the shoulders.

Daddy calls it Millie's World Cup T-shirt.

Even though England's next game is not until Sunday, he could tell as soon as the T-shirt arrived she was eager to try it on.

Millie is taking avid interest in the tournament, and likes to watch it on the television.

She predicts that England will beat Equador 3-1 and believes that if they get to the semi-finals they could go all the way.

In fact, we wouldn't be at all surprised if her first word was "Rooney".

Day 121 - First Father's Day

DADDY was given a mug today - his first father's day present ever!

On the side it says "I love my daddy".

Millie gave it to him because he drinks a lot of coffee, although she continues to prefer milk and now weighs 9lbs.

This weekend Millie received her own very special present from Auntie Betty in London.

It's a blanket embroidered with her name and date of birth.

The blanket also features Pooh and Piglet - very appropriate as Millie stayed in the Winne the Pooh room while in hospital.

In many ways, the hospital seems a long time ago.

Millie is now smiling (occasionally), sleeping for longer (when she feels like it) and knows her own mind (just like her dad).

When fed up, she sometimes strikes a statesmanlike pose bearing more than a passing resemblance to an older Winston Churchill.

Add a fat cigar and a felt hat and Millie could probably sit down at Yalta with Stalin and Roosevelt without anyone knowing the difference.

Still, Winnie was recently voted the greatest Briton of all time, so Millie is in good company. Maybe she has big ambitions too.
